Elton John returned to Mexico City for a major farewell performance, reconnecting with Mexican fans after a 14-year absence. During the October 2 concert at Estadio Banorte, the music legend thanked the crowd for its longtime support as he continued the closing chapter of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road era.

The concert featured a 24-song set spanning decades of hits, with more than 60,000 fans gathered for the occasion. Among the standout performances were Rocket Man, Tiny Dancer, Bennie and the Jets, Crocodile Rock and Philadelphia Freedom.

Several moments gave the show a distinctive local and emotional feel. Crocodile Rock was accompanied by Mexican-inspired visuals, while Candle in the Wind brought a quieter tone to the stadium. Bennie and the Jets highlighted John’s signature piano playing, and Rocket Man was expanded into one of the night’s biggest performances.

Cold Heart also appeared in the set, with Dua Lipa featured on the venue’s video screens. Together, the songs turned the evening into a broad celebration of John’s career and his long relationship with audiences in Mexico.
