The Rolling Stones are back in the recording studio, just three months after releasing their latest album, Foreign Tongues, in July.

Jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine revealed the latest studio activity during an appearance on BBC Radio 3’s Private Passions. Pine confirmed that he recently completed another recording session with Mick Jagger for the legendary rock band.

Pine previously worked with Jagger on his 1993 solo album, Wandering Spirit, making this another collaboration between the two musicians.

The new session follows the release of Foreign Tongues, the band’s 25th studio album and their second collection of original material since 2023’s Hackney Diamonds.

Although the recording session confirms that the group remains musically active, the Rolling Stones have not officially announced another album or provided details about the material being recorded.

The band’s touring future also remains uncertain. Plans for a 2026 UK and European stadium tour were canceled, but Jagger and guitarist Ronnie Wood have previously expressed interest in performing live again.

For now, the latest studio activity confirms that the Rolling Stones continue making music more than six decades after forming.
