Tate McRae is entering a new chapter in her music career with the release of her latest single, “Housewife,” accompanied by a music video filmed in the South of France.
Released on October 15, 2026, the track introduces the Canadian pop star’s next musical era and serves as the lead single from her upcoming fourth studio album.
During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, McRae described the song as being about a woman who refuses to be contained or defined by traditional expectations.
The accompanying video features luxurious locations, including a mansion and yacht, with visuals centered on confidence, independence, and personal freedom.
McRae had been teasing the release for months, offering fans subtle hints about the track, including clues during her August performance at Lollapalooza.
“Housewife” follows the success of her 2025 album So Close to What, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
The new single marks another step in McRae’s evolving pop career as she prepares to introduce her next album.
